Attention Dixie Power Members: Dixie Power is growing at a rapid rate with its membership and this requires an upgrade to improved customer management software. This upgrade will help employees better serve you, the member, with your account. The new payment portal will have added security enhancements to further protect your financial information. During the week of April 1st through April 8th, Dixie Power cannot take credit card payments during our software conversion. We realize this may cause some inconvenience to those members who have a bill due during this week. It is recommended if your power bill is due during this transition period, you may stop by Dixie Power’s Office and make a payment by cash or check. Please keep in mind that no late fees will be assessed during the month of April. If possible, you may make a credit card payment until March 30th to avoid any inconvenience. *For all members who currently have an auto credit card setup, you will need to re-enter your credit card information through on our new payment portal, SMARTHUB, starting April 9th. We appreciate you as a member of Dixie Power and strive to be your trusted energy partner. Should you have questions regarding the software transition, please feel free to call us or stop by our office. Our member service representatives are happy to serve you. Thank you for your patience and enjoy your affordable rates.

Green Way

Greenway Power

Because there may be members at Dixie Power who are interested in “green power” we’re happy to let you know our program continues and is easy to get. Here’s how it works: If a you choose to “go green” you can support renewable energy technologies (wind, solar, or biomass), based on percentages of your total power usage. Some people consider it their way of thinking about the environment, but to us, it’s simply providing options to our members.

With our “GreenWay” Program, signing up is easy, just print and fill out the enrollment form and drop it by one of our offices or mail it to us at the address listed on the Greenway Enrollment Forms.

We understand that many of our members will have questions about green power. Questions ranging from what is green power, to why are we offering it, and how does the program work?

Green power is power that is produced by using renewable energy sources such as wind, solar, biomass and geothermal to name a few. In nearly all cases, the green power purchased by Dixie Power members will come from a biomass project that produces energy from biological waste materials located in the western United States.

Remember, if you choose to receive green power for a portion of your electric supply, somewhere on the Western power grid an exact amount of power equivalent to your green power usage is being produced by a renewable power producer, and the premium you pay is supporting that production.
