Lance’s Lighthouse: A Dixie Power Initiative to Prevent Suicide

Suicide is a struggle that needs awareness brought to it, and we wanted to help spread awareness as we seek to show our concern for our community and the social and emotional challenges that many are facing in today’s world. At Dixie Power we are concerned for our community, and seek in all that we do to energize life. Our hope with Lance’s Lighthouse, and promoting suicide prevention is to help raise awareness and bring help to those in need. We have compassion for all who are suffering and hope that together we can help shine a light in dark places.

Lance’s Lighthouse was created in honor of Lance Winter, a young man who lost his battle with suicide. The Winter family has graciously partnered with us to use their son’s story to help raise awareness about the struggles many face every day. Too often, people suffering from mental health issues feel alone and helpless. It is our hope that by sharing Lance’s story, we can reach those who are struggling and let them know that they are not alone.

In addition to raising awareness, Dixie Power is also committed to providing resources for those who may be struggling with suicidal thoughts or mental health issues.
